The Washington Alley - Webster raw selvedge denim jeans are sanforized; which is a stretching, shrinking and fixing process that happens at the mill and reduces the amount of shrinkage you will experience after your first wash. We ran an experiment on our Washington Alley - Webster jeans and after our first hand wash, we experienced around .25" or less of shrinkage. That being said, as soon as we wore these jeans again, they stretched right back to their original size. Therefore, it is possible to experience very minimal shrinkage after you wash the Washington Alley - Webster jeans but they will stretch right back out.
